Vintage Marcus Designs Medieval Handmade in England Wall Plaque-Great Shape

Rare Vintage'Marcus Designs' Knight in Battle Plaque. It is Signed by D. This is a beautiful piece of art Hand Made in England by'Marcus Designs'.

The artist's name D H Morton is engraved in the bottom right of the plaque. This masterpiece measures 9 1/2" high by 16" wide.

The front raised figures are approximately 1 1/4 high. It reads, Battle of Evesham... It is in excellent condition with only a visible hairline crack across the upper right corner, most obvious to the back body of the plaque.

The back contains metal wire hangers molded directly into the. To the main body of the plaque. Marcus Designs was the concept of David Morton who lived in Bottesford, Leicestershire and made decorative plaques, mainly of a medieval design, from the late 1960s till sometime in the 1980s.

The antique and colored finish applied by hand is the result of a specially developed process. These beautifully handmade pieces are continuing to become more rare as they are no longer being made.
