Antique 19th century Swiss Black Forest hand carved wood hunting trophy wall plaque, wonderful "Fruits of the Hunt" themed sculpture. Superb carving with excellent detail, in particular the beautiful multitude of feathers.
Displays beautifully showing a nice dark brown finish and patina. The piece is signed by the artist/carver, rare to find a signed Black Forest piece. Overall in good antique condition with general wear commensurate with age. There is a split flaw to the beak of the bird as shown, some typical edge chips to the feather and leaf tips.
