This is a large 12 dial antique Japanese gallery wall clock from the late Meiji era c. It has a solid oak case with brass works. It is an early production clock from the Seikosha company.

It has an "ST" mark on its dial (see picture 8) and on the back is a sticker from the Aichi clock company (see picture 11) a subsidiary of Seiko. Seikosha clock company began in 1881. As Seiko Company, it later became the largest clock and watch maker in the world. It is a type of clock that was used in train stations because of its large 12 dial.

It once had additional numbers on the dial to go up to the 24 numbers on train clocks. It keeps excellent time and strikes on the hour with a deep melodic bong. It has an impressive pendulum bob and key (see picture 12).

Its solid oak case measures 17 in diameter (43 cm). The dial is 12 in diameter (30 cm). Overall it is in excellent condition and has been keeping accurate time for the last two months. It's dial has some missing paint where the 24 hour stickers have been removed at some time in its long life.
