Wonderful, set of 2 vintage gold composite wall ornaments made from an antique English mold. The symbol represents the PRINCE OF WALES FEATHERS. The feathers are a heraldic badge of the Prince of Wales and depicts 3 white ostrich feathers emerging from a gold coronet. A ribbon beneath the coronet bears the motto ICH DIEN , which is German for I SERVE.This badge started and was first used by Edward the Black Prince (1330 - 1376). A wonderful, rich deep gold color. These plaques measure 10.5 inches wide and 9.5 inches tall, and about 2.8 inches deep.
Looks wonderful hanging over a pair oil paintings/framed pictures. Also, look great as a bed crowns over twin beds. I have had this in my personal collection for over 25 years. Hate to part with it, but downsizing! This item is in the category "Home & Garden\Home Décor\Plaques & Signs".
